  1. OBJECTIVES • Understand what it means to be a Membership Education Advisor for a Phi Mu Delta chapter • Define expectations for serving as the Membership Education Advisor • Explain the different educational opportunities that are provided from the National Fraternity to the local chapter/colony

  2. MEMBERSHIP EDUCATION ADVISOR • Who can serve as a Membership Education Advisor? • What is my role within the chapter/colony and the CAB? • What are my responsibilities?

  3. EXPECTATIONS • Work closely with the VP of Member Development and help implement the Leading the Lion Pride curriculum (the National new member education program) • Help the chapter identify areas of needed development • Work with individual members as they seek to improve their leadership skills • Ensure all programs are free of hazing and promote positive personal development

  4. ENGAGE PROGRAM • ENGAGE is Phi Mu Delta’s comprehensive membership development program • Leading the Lion Pride: New Member Education • The Personalized Member Development Program (MYPMD) • The Senior Year Experience • Becoming Lions Program

  5. LEADING THE LION PRIDE • New member orientation • The Oracle • Facilitator guide and workbook • Speakers • Activities • New member exam

  6. MEMBERSHIP EDUCATION • Help the VP of Member Development understand the need for total membership education • Not just new member education • Scholarship workshops, career preparedness, leadership training, etc.
