1. Starbase Field Trip Hello Parents and Guardians! Soon we will be blasting off to STARBASE which is an educational field trip. At STARBASE students participate in  challenging "hands-on, mind-on" activities in aviation, science, technology, engineering, math, and space exploration. The STARBASE staff will join us at Paw Creek for one day, and then we are invited to their facility for two additional days. To learn more visit: http://www.starbasedod.com/ WHO: All 5th Grade Students Who Qualify WHAT: Attend the STARBASE field trip WHERE: STARBASE, in Charlotte, NC WHEN: 2 days in the week of March 5th , during school hours  WHY: STARBASE offers a positive, proven approach to engendering excitement and interest in science, technology, engineering and math. COST: This is a FREE field trip. Please review the rubric below with your child.
