Background • Company: Animal Humane Society • Animal shelter designed to shelter stray animals until an owner is found. • Due to the company being non-profit, almost nothing is computerized. • Lead to tedious and inefficient business system.
Business Problem • The former system was messy and unorganized. • Manual sign in sheets held all the important data. • No records of interaction with the dogs.
Business Opportunity and Value • We identified an opportunity to improve the company’s former system by implementing a new and effective database. • This database organizes all the information necessary thus producing a faster, more efficient operation. • Can be easily displayed to national branches of the Humane Society or other interested outside parties.
