A project under the Regional Competitiveness and Employment program, aiming to create sustainable Micro Finance platforms, providing self-employment opportunities for marginalized groups, particularly women. The initiative focuses on establishing Micro Finance support platforms, building a Loan Fund, and facilitating cooperation for best practices nationwide and at the European level.

Results, impact and sustainability of the project results so far... The first Micro Finance Institute in Sweden was inaugurated on 11th September 2009. Transnational cooperation: NEEM is one among 79 European Micro Finance Network members in 23 member states – exchange of best practice National level: Policy dialogue on Micro Finance as an inclusive labour market strategy has been initiated Developed Micro Finance outreach methods and tools are on transfer to other organisations. The Micro Finance Institute in Sweden Ltd is started by beneficiaries Regional and local economic perspective: Micro Finance intersectoral platforms are established in four regions New Micro Finance products developed by banks 81 women mobilised – 15 enterprises started and 20 jobs created
