Thank you for taking on the role of team manager. A good manager is extremely valuable for our coaches as they have been asked to focus on coaching, you allow them to do just that. As a manager you will need to communication on a regular basis with your teams coach and parents. In addition to communication a number of logistical and clerical items will be required. This manual should help guide you along, but don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns you have as we are here to help! Thank You! Thank You!

HFCSOCCER.ORG Volunteering • $200 per family or 4 hours per summer travel player • $200 check or completed form must be collected prior to first game • Fall volunteer hours count; hours based from 8/1 to 7/31 per soccer year. • If no hours by 8/1/18, check is cashed. Website
Policy has been to refresh uniforms every 2-3 yrs • Uniforms are current for this season • Uniforms not part of registration fee; paid for separately since Summer 2014 (before that, uniforms built into summer fees; new fall players paid $30 for kit) • HFC United Uniform Kits 2017 • ONLINE UNIFORM STORE STATUS: The online uniform store is open! There is no longer a presentation or quiz from MYSA. • Please go to MYSA Team Manager page at http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/team-managers for information on reviewing game schedules, photos, rosters, etc. • Game schedules will be available to coaches and team managers on March 12th MYSA Training Presentation

Competitive Match Report • This is now all digital- doesn’t hurt to have a printed copy in case of emergency • No match report, no play!!! • Referee will complete match report and submit to MYSA after game. • Scores need to be reported via TEAM’S website link Game Day
ALL teams MUSTreport scores IN THE MYSA AFFINITY SYSTEM • BOTH teams are responsible for reporting scores • Standings will be updated real time • Do not report forfeits • CONTACT YOUR COMPETITIVE REPRESENTATIVE • Failure to report scores by deadline will result in a fine. This fine will be paid by the team. • Good practice to report within 24 hours for spirit of standing updates Online Score Reporting

HFC pays for the following: • Jamboree (U9 and U10 Teams) • Date TBD- Blaine Sports Center • Deadline to register- Date TBD • Post Season Play (U11+ teams) • Register online (same site as reporting scores) Deadline to register- 6/30/2018 • State Championships- begins July 12th Tournaments
Check in Early • Bring Medical Waivers and printed tournament roster • Get Schedules / Fields / Directions • Read the rules regarding: • Play ups / Guest Players • Game length • Weather / Reschedules • Accommodations / Ride Shares • Out of State Tournaments • May need a travel permit Tournament to do’s
ALL TEAM LEVEL FUNDRAISING MUST GO THROUGH HFC (contact travel director – Jessica) • If fundraising event is approved we need • Locations • Dates • Times • Purpose of funds • Businesses you intend to solicit • Will post additional opportunities on HFC website Fundraising
Communication • Make yourself available – especially on game day • Emails / Phone / Cell • Player Passes- All Digital • Registrar (Lynn Otto) can print hard copy of passes 1 time only per season. May need for tournaments but not league play. If in need of printed passes, please email Lynn at least 1 month prior to the tournament with Team name, date of tournament, contact info • Guest Players • Up to 3 guest players; roster max dressed for game • Follow guidelines as set by traveling director Other Items

Does being a team manager meet my volunteer requirement? • YES – Be sure to complete the “Volunteer Tracking” form • Are managers required to track my team’s volunteers • No – But feel free to delegate certain tasks to help others on your team meet their volunteer requirements FAQs
