Our Objectives At the end of this lesson you will be able to… 1)Identify the five senses and explain how they assist in descriptive writing 2) Propose words to describe articles given based on their five senses 3) Work cooperatively in groups to compose a descriptive piece
What do we mean by Descriptive Writing? Descriptive writing is like painting a word picture so that the reader "sees" exactly what you are describing. Can you think of any descriptions you have heard before that were effective? What effect did they have on you?
