Why seek Mission Partnerships? • Love (2 Corinthians 3:2) • Sacrifice (1 Thessalonians 2:8) • Equality (2 Corinthians 8:13-15) • Prayer (Romans 15:30) • Sending of funds (2 Corinthians 8:3-4) • Sending of personnel (Acts 18:5; 1 Cor 4:17) • “Mission “sits on the agenda alongside a list of other items, vying for attention” (Chester and Timmis, Total Church)

Who to Partner with in Mission? • Missions Partnership Strategy • Synergy • Existing interest, enthusiasm and commitment • Employees or board members • Opportunities for practical partnership • Christ Centred holistic transformational ministry • Seeking church partnership arrangements • Stretching us outside our cultural comfort zones

  5. How do Mission Partnerships work? • Acts 18:1-3 • Tent making partnership • Philippians 1:3-11 • Prayer (3-4) • Long term sustainability (5-6) • Genuine loving relationship (7-8) • Maturing understanding of mission (9-11)
