  12. Proportion • To keep relative size, color & texture of the flowers to create a pleasing arrangement • General rule: designs be at least 1 ½ times the height or width of container to create proper proportion

  45. Designing a Circular Arrangement • 1. select round container, 18 inch wire, shears, floral foam & sharp knife

  46. Designing a Circular Arrangement • 2. half block of floral foam, use wire to cut in half • 3. place foam in container, set in bucket of water for 20 minutes to soak completely
