Activity#1 • Comparison of two different systems: • Mobile tele-monitoring devices using modern technology • Innovative upgrade of the existing system which enables the use of advanced peripheries • Focused on: • Removing barriers and reducing social exclusion • Financial sustainability and purchasing power of target groups
Activity#1 • Goal: • Finding the most adequate system for use in the Slovak conditions bearing in mind both sustainability and innovation • Operation of the system after the end of the HELPS project
Activity#2 • Publishing a leaflet promoting informal homecare and raising awareness among target groups • 20 people will be trained in providing home based care to vulnerable groups (10 from each city): • Employees of town halls and municipal organizations responsible for the social affairs • People most familiar with local conditions and with best access to promote the informal homecare
Activity#2 • 2-stage training course: • Workshop • Field trip • Training course topics: • Field social services for the Elderly – new trends in the EU • Foreign examples of innovative services • Use and benefits of ICT systems • Communication with the Elderly • Topics were consulted with participants
Plan of Implementation • Activity #1: • Implementation & Testing – October and 1st half of November 2013 • Activity #2: • Workshop and field trip – September 2013
Current Status • Procurement processes for both activities are about to begin • Participants of the training courses were already selected by the participating cities • First meeting of LSG – this Thursday, Feb 28 in Nitra
