IntroductionPowerPoint as an instructional aid Objective: Identify highlights of an existing lesson, instructional unit, or course assignment for inclusion in a summary PowerPoint presentation. Group Discussion: How do you use PowerPoint presentations? What makes a PowerPoint presentation effective? What are some ways PowerPoint can be used to focus student attention, highlight significant instructional content, or scaffold student learning? What kind of instructional content can be included in a presentation? Activity: Using instructional content, list items that may be included in a summary PowerPoint.
Creating PowerPoint Presentations Just a few slides make a difference. Objective: • Create a summary PowerPoint presentation detailing the highlights of an existing lesson, instructional unit, or course assignment. Demonstration: • Steps for creating PowerPoint presentations. Activity: • Create a PowerPoint presentation using instructional content.
