  3. Critical Reading Mark the text. Write C’s and Q’s in margins. Mark primary claims; subordinate claims; emphatic statements; terminology; what gets repeated C’s and Q’s = simplifying or developing; summarizing; questioning; sharing preliminary conclusions Chapter 1

  4. Your Mission Choose one person from your group to be the spy. When spy time arrives . . . your group’s spy goes to another group to collect IHAQ intel (any ideas / responses still missing from your group’s packets). (4 minutes) One spy per group.
