Process • AFaculty Salary Equity focus group was formed as a subcommittee of the Academic Planning and Steering Committee, Fall 2009. • Group consisted of seven faculty members from across campus, along with representatives from HR and the Provost’s office • Group met several times and produced a white paper with high-level recommendations
Process • The Faculty Salary Equity Review Committee was then created as a standing university committee to pick up where the focus group left off • Works under the direction of the Faculty Senate and the Provost • Includes a faculty representative from each college, along with representatives from HR and the Provost’s office • Committee made recommendations to the Provost which were implemented in the equity-funds distribution method described below
