Writing the first Draft • Writing the first draft means getting all your ideas down on paper. • You will be writing multiple drafts.
Revising • Revising means changing and improving your writing. It’s an opportunity to think about what you’ve written and then add, cut, or change ideas. • Peer editing groups will be created • PQS (Praise, Questions and Suggestions) will be used.
Editing and Proofreading • Refers to the final changes you make in your writing. • It’s a careful line-by-line check of your writing to catch and correct any errors.
Publishing • Publishing is a way of sharing your writing. • It includes everything from posting your writing on the wall of your classroom to sharing it on the internet.
