artistic statement Hate or love, happiness or remorse, clearness or insanity, the black and whites in life are something we all cherish or despise; the positives and negatives are all essences of our minds. This body of work called “Essences of the Mind” releases a fury of emotions that drive us to our highest of highs and to our lowest of lows. Capturing the good, the bad, and the ugly in life is the mission; the goal, to trigger a distant, recent, or present emotion that is hated or loved with all your passion.
biography From the beginning of my life, art has always been a part of me. With a pencil and paper I would pour out my imagination. My heart and soul would be released and flown amongst a canvas. These years were only my youngest, my teenage years called for more technical artistic expressions. No longer was only a pencil and paper used to release my emotions, but then a computer was the tool to open my mind. However, it didn’t stop there; another form of artistic expression was added to my arsenal, photography. I now release my soul into a lens and capture my emotions in a photograph, seeking powerful concepts and unique perspectives through each photograph.
