Monday April24th Around 1200 Irish volunteers gathered at Liberty hall shortly after ten o’clock . The first shots were shot from Dublin Castle just before noon. Then at noon the group of volunteers took over the GPO and Patrick Pearse read the Proclamation of the Irish Republic .
