  2. Overview • Saltriver has developed location tracking solutions. The solution includes following component • A location tracking device • A web site/mobile application to display location • A communication framework/mechanism through which information is exchanged

  3. Location technologies • We have 3 different ways of location tracking • GPS : This is based on GPS readers • GSM CellId: This is based on GSM Mobile tower CellId • Fixed Point readers : This is based on pre known position where Smart Card/RFID/Bluetooth readers are placed

  4. GSM - CellId solution • The GSM Cellid solution is based on GSM mobile network.We have two type of devices for these solution • Microcontroller based device • A Phone application which can be loaded on symbian phones

How it works • The device ( phone/device ) has a preconfigured number and interval to which it sends the GSM tower details and virtual name of the location as SMS. • This number is attached to a SMS server which imports the details in the locationtracker.com web database. • A user can also query location b sending LBS to the device. • The device also have a capability to maintain the log so as offline tracking can be done.

  6. GPS Solution • He device we have is a microcontroller based. It sends latitude/longitude and speed of vehicle to the fixed number via SMS. • The other details are same as microcontroller based version for CellId.

  7. Fixed terminal Solution • We have smart card/ RFID and Bluetooth based terminal which can be located at different points and can scan the identifier details. As soon as a vehicle crosses that region, it updates the information on the website using SMS and thus helps in tracking relative positions of the vehicle.
