Focus Group 3: Network Interoperability Chair: Cliff Naughton, Boeing Focused on the interoperability of wireline, wireless, data and telecommunications in three areas: 1) The interoperability of circuit switched and packet switched networks, especially in emergencies. 2) The interoperability challenges of Voice over IP 3) A taxonomy of major interoperability challenges facing the industry during the 2004-2005 time frame.
Focus Group 4: Broadband Co-Chairs: Justin Aborn, Genuity Doug Davis, Allegiance The Broadband Focus Group is working to understand the issues that affect Broadband service deployment and adoption. Focus Areas: 1) End to End Quality of Service 2) Application Compatibility 3) Application Delivery Chain 4) Trouble Shooting by Service Providers -- Across Providers 5) Digital Rights Management 6) Service Transparency Across Providers 7) Public Safety
BUDGET $4500 / Council Member Budget: - External vendor survey to industry performance and best practices implementation - timing is 1H03 - Printing and distribution of information, but moving to web and CD-Rom distribution Invoices are being distributed
