Geoscience Competencies Profile • Geoscience Competencies Profile – work to consist of: building competency profiles by working with selected subject matter experts; undertaking appropriate validation and refining in consultation with other experts and practice area stakeholders leading to the introduction of agreed-upon national sets of competency profiles for the three streams of geoscience (geology, environmental geoscience and geophysics).

Geoscience Competencies Profile • During both the development and validation phases of this work, consultations will be held with both practitioners in geoscience and with educators of geoscientists from different parts of Canada. Pilot-testing on applicants will be undertaken to ensure the profiles are fit-for-purpose for admissions decision making.
