Electronic Appointment Scheduling • Various easy-to-use programs available online. • Allows for easy synchronization among multiple users. • Viewable by multiple parties • Allows for email reminders for important meetings/events. • One of the more popular services available is Google Calendar.

Defined Organization Efforts • Reach out to local law school(s) for volunteers to help scan and organize paper documents. • Large project to get “caught up” on scanning/organizing. • Invest in hand-held scanners for each lawyer. • Alternative: 2-3 hand-held scanners to share. • Magic-wand type, or traditional mini-scanner. • Would encourage a regular scanning practice.

General Tips • In today’s economy, many law students begging to get work in a law firm, no matter the task. • Use this to help complete non-legal work first, then they could help with legal research, etc. • In the short term, volunteers can help organize what paper has accumulated, and help to prevent mountains from forming in the future.
