What is the discount and the new price of the phone? • A new treadmill was purchased for $480 and later sold at a garage sale at a discount of 85%. What is the discount and the new price of the treadmill?

  5. Example 3 • The tuition and fees of attending a four year college rose from $4020 in 1996 to $7610 in 2011. Find the percent of increase. • The tuition and fees cost of attending a two year college rose from $1900 in 1996 to $2710 in 2011. Find the percent of increase.
