Activity of TTC interoperability Yasubumi Chimura Hideo Himeno TTC Interoperability-AG
Highlight of Current Activities TTC and HATS held the NGN interoperability event and workshop in September 2012, Tokyo. Several NGN terminal (VoIP, video-phone) venders participated. These events were successful . TTC is continuously contributing to ITU-T SG11 to improve NGN interoperability since Res.76 was adopted in WTSA12. TTC proposed new draft Rec. Q.3949 “Service testing framework for real-time multimedia service at NGN UNI”. This Recommendation was approved in ITU-T SG11 meeting in June 2012 respectively. TTC proposes the detailed signalling specifications and test specifications based on the TTC and HATS activities on NGN interoperability.

Next Steps / Actions APT Conformance and Interoperability event 9-10 September 2013, Bangkok Thailand • Schedule • Workshop: 9 -10 September 2013 • Conformance and interoperability testing: 9 -10 September 2013 • Showcasing: 9 - 14 September 2013 • Testing potential items • NGN (VoIP, Video conference) • IPTV(including IPTV-MAFR (Multimedia Application Framework)) • Showcasing potential items • HTML5, Smart TV, Digital signage, SDN, M2M/IoT, etc.
Next Steps / Actions The interoperability tests should be based on ITU-T Recommendations, and it is a pragmatic way to achieve by regional SDOs. Such a global interoperability event provides good opportunities to resolve the issues for both of developed and developing countries. This new collaboration framework such as the interoperability events will foster mutual understanding and cooperation among regional/national SDOs . TTC and HATS will be able to take a certain role in the framework through its experiences.
