  2. STEREOTYPE Something conforming to a fixed or general pattern: Esp: a standardized mental picture that is held in common by members of a group and that represents an oversimplified opinion, affective attitude , or critical judgment

  5. Some Examples • All-white neighborhoods and African-American and Latina domestics • Boundaries in Relationships-In-school only friendships • Segregation • Concept of danger-physical and psychological • Fear and Power—White and Persons of Color
