These books will provide you with lots of background and tutorial material for implementing creative audio into your classroom or educational organization. They are more than simple tutorial books, they are filled with examples and activities to provide educators with the context they will need in order to position new technologies in their teaching.

  11. What is a podcast? 1. Term came from iPod and broadcasting 2. Podcasting is the method of distributing multimedia files, (audio, videos, etc.) for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. 3. Podcasting is essentially like 'radio' and can be produced with a standard computer, microphone, software (often free), and a web site for posting your programming. 4. Podcasting can be heard or viewed with any computer or downloaded to a mobile device.

How many podcast listeners are there already? • More than 22 million American adults own iPods or MP3 players • 29% of them have downloaded podcasts from the Web so that they could listen to audio files at a time of their choosing. • That amounts to more than 6 million adults who have tried this new feature that allows internet "broadcasts" to be downloaded onto their portable listening device.
