A sampling of 70% of patrons were surveyed exclusively on Option A and B. • Facility Oversight Committee approved the motion to move forward with preference of Option C.

16. 2009 Bond Issue The Independence School District has placed an $85 million bond issue on the November 2009 ballot. This will provide vital funding for remodeling, renovation, and new construction for schools across our District. • 0% interest bonds • Save District millions in interest payments • Ability to pay off leases which saves 2 million from operating fund to better allow us to take care of faculty & staff in the future

17. Projects There will be two new elementary schools placed in our District, one on the west side and one on the east side. There will be considerable funds leftover to spread throughout the District for exciting improvements including: • Renovations at many buildings • Additions to select schools throughout the District • Safety and technology improvements • Upgraded HVAC Systems
