Beyonce is an 8th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. One day after leaving Mr. Olney’s class, Destiny approaches Beyonce and asks in a rude manner, “Why were you talking junk behind K-Stew’s back? You better not be talking about her anymore!” Confused, Beyonce heads over to her next class. During nutrition, as Beyonce is enjoying her Flaming Hot Cheetos, two of K-Stew’s friends confront her saying, “What the heck! Lebron James is a 6th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. His first couple of weeks at Los Coyotes has been enjoyable and relatively smooth. In fact, he’s looking forward to playing basketball during PE in Mr. Younger’s class, as it is his favorite sport. After changing into his PE clothes, Lebron James walks out to the blacktop hoping to have a wonderful time. Instead, he is standing in embarrassment because Dwayne Wade approached him and “pantsed” him from behind. Lebron James looks around and notices that several other students are staring at him, pointing their finger and laughing. 3. Lebron James
4. Justin Bieber Justin Bieber is a 6th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. Justin looks a little “different” from all the other kids. His clothes are different, he talks a little differently than other kids, even his hair style is different. Because he’s different, some of his classmates decide to pick on him. In class, kids move and hide his papers, put trash in his backpack, and bump into him as he walks by. Justin Bieber is getting frustrated and just can’t take it anymore. He wishes he can get his classes changed. Better yet, he wishes he could go to a different school.
5. Usher Usher is a new 7th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. He likes the school as well as his teachers, but feels like some of his classmates don’t like him. At lunch, he overhears a group of students at the next table telling jokes about African Americans. During PE, he’s certain that the same students are referring to him with derogatory names and comments. The next day as Usher is waiting in the lunch line, Harry Potter walks by and shouts, “hey black boy!” Usher is upset thinking why his classmates are targeting him.
6. Katy Perry Katy Perry is a 7th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. One day in Mrs. Petersen’s class, Russell approaches her and says, “K-Stew doesn’t like you because you called her friends ‘fake’.” Katy Perry doesn’t recall talking about K-Stew’s friends, let alone calling them “fake.” During Nutrition, Katy Perry decides to walk over to Mrs. Sandoval’s classroom and notices K-Stew and her friends staring at her. At lunch, Katy walks across the quad and notices that K-Stew and company are behind her. Wherever Katy goes, K-Stew’s posse seem to be following her. On her way home, K-Stew and her friends follow her from across the street, pointing at her, laughing, and making snide comments in her direction. Katy wonders whether she should ask her parents to pick her up after school from now on.
7. Lady Gaga Lady Gaga is an 8th grade student at Los Coyotes Middle School. Like some of her 8th grade friends, Lady Gaga has a Facebook account (even though she is not 14 years old). Facebook gives her an opportunity to chat with her friends, look at their pictures, read what they have to say, and see what’s going on their lives. One evening, Lady Gaga logs on to her account after finishing her homework, studying for Mr. Ekadjaja’s Math test, and reading for 30 minutes. Lady Gaga is surprised by the flood of negative comments on her status page which read, “y did you steal K-Stew’s bf u freak!”, “ur a bf stealer!”, “ur such a freak!” along with other comments filled with expletives and name-calling. Lady Gaga is worried that the next day will be filled with drama at school.
