  2. Flight... • Departure December 30th :: United Airlines connecting to Lufthansa • Landing December 31st :: Berlin • Departure January 8th :: Budapest Lufthansa to LAX

  3. You are allowed 1 checked bag, 1 carry-on and 1 personal bag. You are responsible for carrying everything you bring! Flight... Checked Baggage on International flights: one bag with a maximum weight of 50 pounds (23 kg) per bag and a maximum exterior linear dimension of 62 inches (158 cm). Personal Bag: addition to one carry-on item, you may bring one personal item, such as a shoulder bag, backpack, laptop bag or other small item (no larger than 9 inches x 10 inches x 17 inches, or 36 linear inches).

Carry-on Baggage on International flights: The maximum combined linear measurement (length + width + height) of carry-on bags must not exceed 14 inches x 9 inches x 22 inches (23 x 35 x 56 cm) or 45 linear inches (114 cm). • If you are traveling with any liquid, gel or aerosol items, here are a few things you should remember: • Customers departing from U.S. airports on any flight may bring carry-on bags through security and aboard the aircraft with trial-size toiletries (3.4 ounces or less) which can be purchased at any drug store. • Toiletries must fit comfortably in one, quart-size (7.5-inch x 8-inch), clear plastic zip-top bag. • The zip-top bag may need to be presented separately at airport security so make sure it is easily accessible when you approach the screening area.

Pre-departure preparation • Packing for Eastern Europe (10 Day trip) • Wool or feather down weatherproof coat (suggested that coat should hang below your waist) • A pair of Thinsulate lined gloves • Scarf (a thick wool scarf, not the trendy type) • Hats (classic wool hats or beanies; baseball caps don’t protect from the cold and looks too touristy) • Compact umbrella • Wool sweaters • Jeans (dark colored) • Silk long underwear • Leather or Weatherproof boots • Long sleeve t-shirts and/or fashion thermals • Wool socks • 1 qt. size Ziploc for necessities (deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, etc)
