Fortunate is one who understands the causes of things. - Virgil • SNHS will be the prominent scientific organization that will engender a new group of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America • Service to the Science Community • Learning – Lecture series • Resume

  3. Do I qualify? To Get In: To Stay In: Junior (3) or Senior (4) 3.0 GPA/3.5 Science GPA Honors or AP Sciences Must be in or join another approved science club 75% Attendance to all SNHS events 6 hours of service Must pass ALL COURSES each semester Behavior and honor code

Officer Responsibility President Vice President Seniors Only Present 2 lectures Call and preside over meetings Delegate tasks and activities Vote as tie-breaker Meet with admin & appoint committees Present 2 lectures Organize presenters and speakers Assist president in the organization of events and activities

  5. Officer Responsibilities Secretary Treasurer Present 2 lectures Keep minutes for each meeting Keep attendance record for meetings/events Prepare the agenda for the meetings Notify members of meetings/events. Present 2 lectures Collect Dues Keep an accurate record of SNHS finances Work with the secretary to maintain a current roster of members and service hours completed.

  6. Future Meetings • 1 every month. (Officers twice a month) • 2 options • Monday after school • Tuesday at 7:30am • Officers – Anyone seriously interested in becoming an officer please plan to attend a meeting next week. Thursday August 30th in 1308
