  2. Unit 3 – Corporate Management • In this unit students investigate how large-scale organisations operate. Students examine the environment (both internal and external) in which large-scale organisations conduct their business, and then focus on aspects of individual business’ internal environment and how the operations of the business are managed. Students develop an understanding of the complexity and challenge of managing large-scale organisations and have the opportunity to compare theoretical perspectives with practical applications.

  3. AoS1 – LSO’s in Context (20) • On completion of this unit the student should be able to discuss and analyse the context in which large-scale organisations operate.

  4. AoS2 – Internal Environment of LSOs (40) • On completion of this unit the student should be able to discuss and analyse major aspects of the internal environment of large-scale organisations.

  5. AoS3 – The Operations Management Function (40) • On completion of this unit the student should be able to discuss and analyse strategies related to operations management.

  6. Unit 4 – Managing People and Change • This unit continues the examination of corporate management. It commences with a focus on the human resource management function. Students learn about the key aspects of this function and strategies used to most effectively manage human resources. The unit concludes with analysis of the management of change. Students learn about key change management processes and strategies and are provided with the opportunity to apply these to a contemporary issue of significance.

  7. AoS1 – The Human Resource Management Function (60) • On completion of this unit the student should be able to analyse and evaluate practices and processes related to human resource management.

  8. AoS2 – The Management of Change (40) • On completion of this unit the student should be able to analyse and evaluate the management of change in a large-scale organisation, and evaluate the impact of change on the internal environment of a large-scale organisation.
