2. Color of a Reindeer • The color of reindeer is dark in the summer and light in the winter . If you are looking for a reindeer you need to good eye site because they are blending in with they their surroundings almost all the time.

3. Reindeer Size • The reindeer are four feet tall at the shoulder and six feet wide from the tail to the head which makes them a small member of the deer family . They are a type of deer that is medium sized that makes it smaller than a caribou.

4. Males And Females • Males are called bulls and females are called cows. Male reindeer look like female reindeer because they both have antlers . Sometimes you can’t tell if it is a male or female so be careful trying to find out .

5. There Body Is Covered with • There body is covered with unique hairs witch helps them float on rushing rivers and even the frozen Arctic Ocean.

6. About Their Hooves • They have separated hooves witch prevent them from sinking and helps it find food in the winter.

7. Living • Reindeer live in very cold places like: the Arctic Tundra ,forests , Mountains in Russia ,Northern China ,Canada ,Alaska and Scandinavia.

8. A Special Thing • Reindeer have very special hairs all over their body that trap air like a floaty to help it swim .

9. Eating • Reindeer eat leaves and herds in the summer . Sometimes they eat moss and lichens in the winter.

10. Herbivores • Reindeer are herbivores .Which means an animal eats plants.
