THE VOICE OF A SAVIOR Luke 23:39-43
Observations: 1) Both men were sinners (criminals). 2) Both had equal access to Jesus. 3) Both men still had time.
1) We hear the voice of a Savior when we become desperate enough to listen.
Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great,… And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12
The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words. Matthew 27:44
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Matthew 5:3
2) It is the voice of our Savior that determines our destiny.
…the vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
One alone was saved upon the cross that none might despair; and only one, that none might presume.
