  4. Skills Practice Examples for Honors Geometry • 2/3 + 3/5 = • Find the value of x so that the line that passes through the points (2, 3) and (x, 9) has a slope of 3/2 • Determine the x- and y-intercepts of 3x-4y=12 4. ax + b = c … solve for x

  5. If you are currently in Honors Geometry • If you earned a B- or better in Algebra I and a C+ or better in Honors Geometry for the first semester, you may take Honors Algebra II (1426). • If you earned lower than a B- in Algebra I and lower than a C+ in Honors Geometry for the first semester, you will take College Algebra II (1462). * If you took Algebra I in 8th grade, that grade will be the one used to determine placement.

  6. If you are currently in College Geometry • If you earned an A or better in Algebra I and an A or better in College Geometry for the first semester, you may take Honors Algebra II (1426). • If you earned a C or better in Algebra I and a C or better in College Geometry for the first semester, you will take College Algebra II (1462). • If you earned lower than a C in Algebra I and lower than a C in College Geometry for the first semester, you will take Algebra II (1465).

  7. If you are currently in Geometry • If you earned a B or better in Algebra I and a B or better in Geometry for the first semester, you may take College Algebra II (1462). • All others will take Algebra II (1465).
