Quote Meaning Soul comes from inner passion. It is the shared experience of an event that is meaningful and can relate to us all universally. Soul is felt, expressed, and natural. It cannot be forced or described, it has to come from within. To feel her music, you have to be true to the life around you. “ If a song's about something I've experienced or that could've happened to me it's good. But if it's alien to me, I couldn't lend anything to it. Because that's what soul is all about.” “I sing to the realists; people who accept it like it is.”
