Cupcakes Survey For year 7 SAIL maths we conducted a survey on the preferred brand and flavour out of two different flavours of three cupcake brands. The flavours were Vanilla and Chocolate and the brands we used were Betty Crocker, White Wings and Donna Hay. Favourite brand.

  1. Cupcakes Survey For year 7 SAIL maths we conducted a survey on the preferred brand and flavour out of two different flavours of three cupcake brands. The flavours were Vanilla and Chocolate and the brands we used were Betty Crocker, White Wings and Donna Hay.

  2. Favourite brand Favourite brand and flavour overall Prices The Donna Hay cupcakes cost $7.80 each and were the most expensive out of all three products. The chocolate Donna Hay cupcakes were most preferred with the results we gathered from the survey; on the other hand the vanilla cupcakes were the least preferred. The White Wings cupcakes cost $4 each being the cheapest of the three cupcake brands. Unfortunately, they were the least preferred overall. The Betty Crocker cupcakes cost $5.58. They were the most preferred cupcake brand out of the three brands. We have tallied up the results and the best cupcake brand to buy based on its quality and price are the Betty Crocker cupcakes. They don’t cost too much and the majority of the taste testers liked the taste of them better.

Preferences from the Cupcake Taste Test From this graph, we can see that out of the vanilla cupcakes, Betty Crockers were the most preferred, white wings were the second most preferred and Donna Hay cupcakes were the least preferred. We can also see that out of the chocolate cupcakes Dona hay were the most preferred, Betty Crockers were the second most preferred and White wings were the least preferred. Overall, people liked Betty Crocker cupcakes the most, Donna hay the second most and White wings the third most. Percentage chosen Cupcake Brands

Total Sodium Total Sodium The chocolate Betty Crocker cupcakes have the most sodium out of all three chocolate cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most sodium in them and the Donna Hay cupcakes have the least sodium in their chocolate cupcakes. The Vanilla White wings cupcakes have the most sodium out of all three Vanilla cupcake brands. The Betty Crocker cupcakes have the second most sodium in them and the Donna hay cupcakes have the least amount of sodium in their Vanilla cupcakes.

Total Sugars Total Sugars The chocolate Betty Crocker cupcakes have the most Sugar out of all three chocolate cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most sugar in them and the Donna Hay cupcakes have the least sugar in their chocolate cupcakes. The vanilla Betty Crocker cupcakes have the most Sugar out of all three vanilla cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most sugar in them and the donna hay cupcakes have the least sugar in their Vanilla cupcakes

Total Carbohydrates Total Carbohydrates The chocolate Betty Crocker cupcakes have the most carbohydrates out of all three chocolate cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most carbohydrates in them and the Donna hay cupcakes have the least carbohydrates in their chocolate cupcakes. The vanilla Betty Crocker cupcakes have the most carbohydrates out of all three vanilla cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most carbohydrates in them and the donna hay cupcakes have the carbohydrates in their Vanilla cupcakes.

Total Fat Total Fat The chocolate Donna Hay cupcakes have the most fat out of all three chocolate cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most fat in them and the Betty Crocker cupcakes have the least fat in their chocolate cupcakes. The Vanilla Donna Hay cupcakes have the most fat out of all three vanilla cupcake brands, the white wings cupcakes have the second most fat in them and the Betty Crocker cupcakes have the least fat in their vanilla cupcakes.

  8. Overall Overall, people preferred the vanilla Betty Crocker cupcakes the most out of all three vanilla cupcake brands. The Betty Crocker cupcakes had the highest amount of sugar and carbohydrate in them, and had the least fat in them. The White Wings cupcakes were the second most preferred out of the vanilla cupcake brands. They had the highest amount of sodium. The Donna Hay cupcakes were the least preferred out of the vanilla cupcake brands. They had the least amount of sodium, sugars and carbohydrate but they had the highest amount of fat out of all three cupcake brands. Out of all three chocolate cupcake brands, the Donna Hay cupcakes were the most preferred. The cupcakes had the least amount of sodium, sugars, carbohydrate but had the highest amount of fat. The Betty Crocker cupcakes were the second most preferred out of the three chocolate cupcake brands. These cupcakes had the highest amount of sodium, sugars and carbohydrates, but they had the least amount of fat. The White Wings chocolate cupcakes were the least preferred out of all of the chocolate brands. They had neither the highest or lowest amount of sodium, sugars, fat and carbohydrates.
