National links • Agricultural and teacher training colleges are associated / affiliated with UZ and get UZ diplomas & certificates • Faculty of agriculture has national links with AREX Department of the Ministry of Agriculture • Faculty of agriculture has national links with the Ministry of Environment & Tourism • Faculty of agriculture has links with Rio Tinto Foundation, SIRDC, RCZ & ARC • Crop & soil science departments have links with seed houses (Seed-co, Pannar, Pioneer, Cargill, Cottco)
Regional links • Faculty of Agriculture has links with Mananga training centre (Swaziland), RUFORUM, ILRI, CIAT • Zimbabwe is a member of SADC & COMESA
National links with international institutions • The faculty of Agriculture has links with CIMMYT, WAC (ICRAF), The tropical soil biology and fertility programme (TSBF) and relevant NGOs such as WFP, Christian care, World vision, Heifer Project International (HPI) • The faculty of Agriculture has links with embassies such as Belgian, Israel, German (GTZ & DAAD), USAid, French, British (Beit, DFID), Norway (NORAD &NUFU), Canada (CIDA), Australia, Korean, Chinese and Sweden (Sida & Sarec)
International universities linkages • UZ is one of 200 member Association of African Universities (AAU) • Faculty of Agriculture has links with Edinburgh University, University of Reading, Silsoe, Aberdeen University (UK), Michigan State University, Cornell University (USA), Wageningen University (The Netherlands), Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University [RVAU] (Denmark)
