  1. 10 YEARS ON FOR THE FORU 10 YEARS ON SOME FACTS AND FIGURES

  2. EVER WONDERED HOW THE FORUM WAS FORMED AND WHY? HOUSING BENEFIT STARTED HAVING QUARTERLY MEETINGS WITH LANDLORDS. LIMITED SOCIAL HOUSING - GROWING DEMAND FOR UTILISING PROPERTIES WITHIN THE PRIVATE RENTED SECTOR. IN 2007 THE CAERPHILLY PRIVATE LANDLORD FORUM WAS FORMED.

  3. SO WHAT HAS THE FORUM ACHIEVED IN 10 YEARS? WHAT HAS THE CHAIRMAN BEEN UPTO? - Smart Money Credit Union In 2012 an initiative was launched in the Welsh Assembly Government called “Tackling Homelessness through Financial Inclusion” Your Money Your Home project Money Made Clear Project – awareness of Loan Sharks Welsh Tenants Association

  4. ACHIEVEMENTS CONTINUED WELSH REFUGEE COUNCIL LAUNCH OF AN INITIATIVE WITH SHELTER CYMRU AND THE RLA “ WORKING WITH VULNERABLE PRIVATE TENANTS” DWP – HOUSING ELEMENT OF UNIVERSAL CREDIT RENT SMART WALES NUMEROUS MEETINGS WITH INDIVIDUAL SPEAKERS

  5. FORUM RELATIONSHIPS RELATIONSHIPS HAVE BEEN FORMED DURING THE 10 YEARS WITH ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS: NLA RLA SMART MONEY CYMRU SHELTER CYMRU WALES CO-OPERATIVE CENTRE B & Q HOUSING BENEFIT ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS GWENT POLICE WELSH WATER CAERPHILLY BOND SCHEME BRITISH GAS

  6. FORUM ATTENDANCES SINCE INCEPTION OCTOBER 2007 WHICH LANDLORD HAS ATTENTED THE MOST FORUM’S? In 3rd place we have a tie between Bob Collins and Roger & Elaine Francis who have attended 17 In 2nd place both on 19 attendances we have Nigel Kaszubowski & Rosemary & Carwyn Caple In 1stplace again it’s a tie between Roger Ferrand & Mike Locke who have attended the Caerphilly Private Landlord forum a record number of 20 times out of 23!!

  9. “NEWSLETTER” The first edition of the newsletter was sent out in March 2013 to over 1,000 landlords on our database! It is now sent out quarterly after every forum. Statistics show that since the first publication between 32% and 66.7% of people are opening the newsletter each quarter which proves that even landlords who do not attend the forum are reading about it!

WHAT NEXT FOR THE FORUM?The Forum will continue to be run every quarter.The Forum will continue to engage with and invite topical guest speakers.The Forum will continue to reach out to new landlords via the Website and Facebook.The forum will continue to represent Caerphilly Landlords interests with statutory bodies
