  5. How does it look like? • It is the biggest bird on the world. • It is very fast. • Its neck is very long. • It can´t fly.

  6. What does it eat? They eat: • Vegetables. • Fruits. • Flowers. • Rodents. • Lizards. They don’t eat: • Leaves.

  7. Where does it live? • Savannas, deserts and prairies with little vegetation. • Dry and arid areas like Africa and Arabia.

  8. Behaviors • During winter they stay alone or in pairs. • During the breeding season, they stay in big groups. • They lay down their heads and necks on the ground, so they will look as a mound of earth and predators won’t see them from far.

  9. Other interesting facts • They can sense predators such as lions from far. • They can reach a speed of 70 kilometers per hour. • The ostrich is the fastest two-legged animal in the world. • They bury their heads in the ground.
