How to have a good conference….it is a process, not an event. • -keep it positive/constructive, it is not a "gotcha" meeting • -communication goes both ways, don't monopolize the conversation • -develop trust, be a good listener • -be detailed with your recommendations/comments

Remember… • Be honest • Take responsibility for student learning • Make sure conversation is focused, specific, and constructive • The evaluator has the final say
