  3. Area of Specialization- DOSIMETRIST OB/GYN ABDOMINAL NEUROSONOGRAPHY OPHTHALMALOGIC

  4. WORKING ENVIROMENT Most work in a large hospital and research centers Diagnostic center and Zoo Physician and Vet. Offices Usually work 40 hours weeks, days, weekend and night shifts

  5. Length of Training • Complete one to four years education program • Two years program are the most common • An AS degree program at a community college

  6. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Certificate is voluntary, but many employers prefer licensure for employment Individual needed to pass a general exam and/or a specialized are area exam To maintain license sonographers must completed accredited CE classes
