Purifying One’s Intention • The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has said, “Deeds depend on intentions; each person receives according to what he has intended.” Bukhari and Muslim • Imam Haddad’s Intentions: • “I intend: learning and teaching; • Remembering and reminding; • giving and receiving benefit and gain; • encouraging adherence to Allah’s book and the sunna of His messenger (Allah bless him and grant him peace); • Calling to right guidance; • And leading to goodness. • Seeking therein Allah’s countenance, pleasure, nearness, and reward (Transcendent and Exalted is He).”
