Essa joined Ernst & Young June 2002 after spending over 12 years in other professional firms As Assurance and Advisory Business Services partners, Essa is responsible for overall service quality and responsiveness to client requirements covering a cross section of clients in the Bahrain Office mainly in the following areas: Islamic Financial Services and Insurance Essa has extensive experience in Islamic Banks and Financial Service Institutions as well as Islamic Insurance company, being the engagement partner for both audit and business advisory services for several clients in Bahrain which include ABC Islamic Bank, Bahrain Islamic Bank, Albaraka Banking Group, Takaful International Company. Public sector experience Essa has been extensively involved in the audits as well as other advisory services of Government directorate and ministries of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including Ministries of Defence, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Labour and Social Affairs, Pension Fund Commission, etc. Oil, Manufacturing, Trading, Leisure & Entertainment Essa is the engagement partner responsible for the audit of several large clients engaged in manufacturing, trading, leisure and entertainments. These include Bahrain Petroleum Company, Bahrain Aviation Fuelling, Aluminium Bahrain, Bahrain Aluminimum Extrusion Co,., Bahrain Sheraton Hotel, Ritz Carlton, Bahrain Hotels Company, National Hotels Company, etc. Other experience Essa was involved in other projects including business valuations, business risk services, special investigations, review of operating internal controls and lecturing accounting and financial studies courses at the Institute of Banking Studies in Kuwait, Bahrain University and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance.
