Why did we decide to embark upon this project? • We need buildings fit for the future • that are not in need of constant repair • with better heating, electrics, windows • which can be used more flexibly • with better disabled access • that bring Glory to God • that will last for future generations
Its been a long time coming - Phase 1 – which is all we are committing to at present, replaces the present church, old church hall, lounge, offices and toilets with.. A new main worship area Two medium sized halls, an office, a kitchenette, foyer area, two additional pastoral offices and a dedicated crèche area A second floor storage area which can be converted at a later date
Are we keeping anything? • We may recycle some of the wood from the pews • The cross on the end wall will become a feature in the garden area • Most of the furniture • Let us know if you have any other ideas • Please take an update sheet away today... • The detailed plans will be on display too
This is an impression of the final design however many of the details are not included
What can I do? • Please continue to pray for the project • Come to the Special Church Meeting on the 27th May • Support Cornerstone • Donate your unneeded treasures • We even get money for rags (unsellable clothing) • Volunteer a bit of time • Consider whether you can pledge or organise a fundraising event • Use your imagination and your talents
