What do you want to say? • Think of three key messages that you would like to communicate about your charity and jot them down. • Share your key messages with the person sitting next to you. What do they think of them? Are they powerful? How could they be improved?
Who do you want communicate with? • Potential donors • Existing donors • The media • ??? • Jot down your own list
Website • Social media • Press releases • Features • Events • Email marketing • Newsletters – online and offline • Publications • Advertising • Networking • Word of mouth • Presentations • TV and radio interviews • Case studies • Videos
What can you do to spread the word about your charity? • Choose one of the groups from your audience group list and think of 3 things you can do to get their attention and communicate your messages. • Discuss your plan with the person next to you.
