This project focuses on identifying stakeholder audience and accessibility issues regarding the REDD+ Safeguards Information System in Liberia. It aims to determine who needs information, special information requirements, frequency, and format preferences. Additionally, obstacles to accessing information will be addressed, and strategies to overcome them will be developed.

  3. Objectives of Liberia’s REDD+ Safeguards Information System • Produce summaries of information on REDD+ safeguards for UNFCCC • 2. Provide assurances on safeguards implementation and non-carbon benefits to donors • 3. Provide assurances to international companies and markets • 4. Provide information to Liberian government on contributions to sustainable development • 5. Provide assurances to local stakeholders on their social and environmental priorities

Group work on stakeholder audience and accessibility issues Divide into 3 groups and discuss for each level: • national • county • district • Who should be provided with information • Any special information needs? • How often? • In what format? • What accessibility issues? • How can they be overcome?
