  5. Follow-up Adherence Counseling • Focuses on exploring ring use experiences (facilitators/challenges), needs, and strategies to address those needs • Support and encourage product use, but not expect or demand it During each visit, when should adherence counseling occur?

Practicum • Pair with the person sitting next to you • Each take turns as a counselor and a participant trying the ACE approach: • 5 minute role play, 2 minutes to document, 2 minutes feedback • Swap roles • 5 minute role play, 2 minutes to document, 2 minutes feedback • Large group wrap-up/debrief

  7. Debrief • General feedback on role-plays • In depth discussion of each scenario, including needs and strategies

  8. Retention Loop • How did the retention loop go? • Did it feel forced or like a natural progression of the conversation?
