Part One: Chinese new year • Chinese celebrate new year on January according to the lunar calendar.
During new year, we will………. • Have a reunion dinner with our family and relatives on new year’s eve. • This is the most important festival of the year for Chinese. • All the family members will have meal called 年夜飯(means the dinner at the new year’s eve.)
During new year, we will………. • Put on new year decoration. The decoration mostly are red and gold. The color red means good luck in Chinese culture. It also means wonderful. You may also seen the color at the traditional wedding. • We also will write lucky words on the red long paper and post them on the wall.
During new year, we will………. Go to the temple to see the parade of the gods.
Part Two: PuTai School Life • We are a boarding school. And over 80% of our students are Buddhist.
At school…. We have • Meditation class once a week. • Meditation classroom. (picture from 801, the 8th graders.)
At school…. We have • Only vegetarian food for all of the meals. • Meal time at cafeteria. (picture from 801, the 8th graders.)
At school…. We have • Amazing building for us to learn.
At school…. We have • Many masters concern about us. • We also have English teachers from Canada and America.
At school…. • The best prize for almost all students are a cup bubble pearl milk tea. (picture from 704, the 7th graders.)

At School… We have • English Drama but in ancient Chinese style.
At school… We can • Go home once every two weeks, and even the first graders need to take care of themselves.
My life in school by Jennifer Fung The environment in school is good. There are a lot of competition. The school is too big that if it’s your first time come in here, you might get lost. I can learn many things here, and I hope you enjoy this power point.
