  4. Tech Cttee Evaluation Criteria • Encourage additional participants through new profiles • Balance against resources for Technical Framework and MESA Test Tools development • Leverage existing profiles to extent possible • Consolidate common processes from multiple sub-domains - may refactor proposals (mix and match) • Avoid political battles Cardiology Planning Committee 7 March 2005

  5. Tech Cttee Proposed Profiles • Enhance existing Cath and Echo profiles with logs and measurements (“evidence documents”) • New Stress Workflow Profile leveraging actors and transaction concepts from Cath and Echo profiles • Include Simple Image and Numeric ReportProfile (by reference to Radiology) for DICOM SR-based reporting • New Displayable ReportProfile (based on SINR) for PDF-based reporting • Include Retrieve Information for DisplayProfile (by reference to IT Infrastructure) for intra-enterprise report distribution and access to non-cardiology reports • Include Cross-enterprise Document Sharing Profile (by reference to IT Infrastructure) for cross-enterprise report distribution Cardiology Planning Committee 7 March 2005

  10. Potential New Participants • Measurement/analysis application vendors (echo, cath) • Reporting system vendors (echo, cath) • Stress system vendors • Already participating in Tech Cttee • EMR vendors • May need incentives to participate in ACC as well as HIMSS demos • Additional “Year 1” capability vendors Potentially doubling size of Demonstration Cardiology Planning Committee 7 March 2005
