  1. Bellringer Elements of Literature Book p.508 Think of something that another person taught you to do, such as dance, mow the lawn, rock climb, play a game, surf the internet, build a campfire, or cook a special food. Then, list all the words and phrases you cant think of that are associated with the activity. If you choose cooking a special food, for instance, you might start with winter night, Dad, radio playing, sausage, sizzling onions, pasta.

  3. Read aloud and discuss figurative language Elements of Literature (EL) page 508 Take Notes on Index Cards (see next slide)

  4. Read “Folding Won Tons” EL p. 509 Consider this question. (Is this a process poem?)

  5. Read To Kill a Mockingbird Chapter 21 Work on the chapter presentation in class. Identify four characters, four facts per character, and four word wall words. Place each chapter presentation in your To Kill a Mockingbird folder.

  6. Homework Finish reading chapter 21. Complete the chapter presentation. Bring novels to class for the rest of the week. Work on Poetry Project.
