  1. COMENIUS: DUST TOMÁŠ FRONĚK, FILIP ŠIMÁNA

  2. PROBLEMS OF DUSTNESS AND ASPIRATIONS OF OBSERVATIONS • Aspiration of observations was to determine how much dust there will be on the definite place after 2days and after 1hour, too • For this we had got some special paper which absorbed dust – there was a problem, when wind started to blow, the sticky tape didn‘t keep this paper • At the end of our observations we had to analyse the samples (with microscope) and we wrote the needed entries

  3. WORK ORGANIZATION: SEPARATING INTO WORK-GROUPS • In the beginning we separated into work-groups, in every group there were 6 people • Next step was to choose a place on which we will be investigating dustness • During 2 weeks we had to take away three samples – each sample was on the definite place for 48hours

  4. MEASUREMENT OF DUSTNESS

  5. MEASUREMENT OF 1.GROUP • Place: Small gym, under a basketball hoop • Measurements of dustness: • 1. picker 67mm2 • 2. picker 124mm2 • 3. picker lost

  6. Measurements of 1. group • Graph of dustiness:

  7. Measurements of 1. group • Table of particles in pickers:

  8. MEASUREMENT OF 2.GROUP • Place: The first floor, in the corridor next to the staff room • Measurements of dustiness: • 1. Picker 53mm2 • 2. Picker 24mm2 • 3. Picker 40mm2

  9. Measurements of 2. group • Graph of dustiness:

  10. Measurements of 2. group • Table of particles in pickers:

  11. MEASUREMENT OF 3.GROUP • Palce: In front of the main entrance, in the south, out • Measurements of dustiness: • 1. Picker 17mm2 • 2. Picker 12mm2 • 3. Picker 25mm2

  12. Measurements of 3. group • Graph of dustiness:

  13. Measurements of 3. group • Table of particles in pickers:

  14. Measurements of 3. group • Weather:

  15. MEASUREMENT OF 4.GROUP • Place: Side entrance, in the east, outside • Measurements of dustiness : • 1. Picker 17mm2 • 2. Picker 9mm2 • 3. Picker lost

  16. Measurements of 4. group • Graph of dustness:

  17. Measurements of 4. group • Table of particles in pickers:

  18. Measurements of 4. group • Weather:

  19. PROBLEMS (which occured during observations) • In the assignment there wasn‘t a very good ingenious fix of paper – which could absorbe the dust – two pieces of this paper blew away • Then we had to edit the original assignment – the task was to count particles of dust on 1cm2 but we could not see such a big area in the microscope • So we observed dust particles on 1mm2

  20. CONCLUSION • The biggest dustness was in the gym, under the basketball hoop • The lowest dustness was outdoor, near the backdoor • There was no insect
