1. Multiply (x +4)(x2 - 4) • X3+ 4x2 - 4x -16
3. Multiply : 4x(3x-4)(2y+5) • 24x2y + 60x2 - 32xy - 80x
4. Factor: 6x2 + 12x • 6x(x+2)
5. Factor: 5x2 - 125 • 5(x+5)(x-5)
6. Factor: x2 + 8x + 15 • (x + 5)(x + 3)
7. Factor: 4x2 - 6x + 2 • 2(2x-1)(x-1)
8. Factor 8x3 -10x2-12x • 2x(4x+3)(x-2) , don’t forget to pull what’s in common out first
9. Factor: 2xy-10x+y-5 • (2x + 1)(y - 5)
10. Factor: 15x + 10 - 6x3 -4x2 • (5 - 2x2)(3x + 2)
11. Solve: (x+2)(x-3) = 0 • -2 and 3
12. Solve: x2 +4x - 5=0 • -5 and 1
13. Solve : x2 = 25 • 5 and -5
14. Solve: 2x2 + 5x = 3 • -3 and 1/2
