THE CSS MANUAL: Elements in the latest draft · Recurring and nonrecurring congestion; · Physical design: Width of street and travel lanes, geometric design of intersections (including roundabouts), intersection density, block length, number of travel lanes, and bicycle lanes; · Access management features, and · Signal timing, coordination and existence of pre-emption devices; · Emergency and fire strategies and tactics are specific to the locale; the fire chief should be consulted to determine methods for operating within context-sensitive streets. This information can then be used to inform the street and urban designers of the project. · High levels of street connectivity
